Traditional vintage bedcover, gudri, of India. Beautifully stitched together of materials upcycled from great saris. Top side is usually more flamboyant but sometimes the bottom side is just as interesting. The entire bedcover is then lovingly quilted in the stitch commonly called “kantha”. Can’t find a fabric or a choice of color is more crucuial, yet without some extra stitchwork to show off. Uniquely Indian and varied, they are truly one of a kinds and carefully curated by Little Journeys Chicago. Age 30 to 70 years. 83″ by 55″, mostly in cotton and silk fabrics/strips. Dry clean only. Made in India.
