Then for some reason it was finished in jacquard-like stripe effect, which is why its shaping is a little irregular. Probably from Sucre region. Completely hand spun and woven, 40-50 years old. Two selvedge pieces stitched together. Approximately 65″x50″. Dry clean. Sheep’s wool. Bolivia.

Vintage Bed Cover GU2301
$340.00Traditional vintage bedcovers or, gudris, of India are made by quilting together layers of upcycled vintage saris with tiny running stitches commonly called, kantha. The front sides are usually ornate, detailed, flamboyant, even, while the back sides are minimalist, calming fields of soft texture and beautifully irregular kantha stitches that can only be done by hand. Uniquely Indian and varied, they are truly one-of-a-kind and carefully curated by Little Journeys Chicago. Age 30 to 70 years. 72″ x 55″, mostly cotton and silk fabrics/strips. Dry clean or hand wash. Made in India.
